This once peaceful world called Planet Plant was inhabited by a species named the Tuffels. The Tuffel race was an advanced one with technology that rivaled worlds much older then themselves. But one day hundreds of years ago a mysterious ship landed and a new species stepped forth onto the planet. A brutal and aggressive species called the Saiyans. It is unknown where they originally came from and any information about the ship they arrived in was lost.
Now the Tuffels and Saiyans begin their struggle for dominance of this world. The Saiyans were indeed smaller in number then their Tuffel hosts but it took all the Tuffels had just to keep them at bay. Until one night the tides turned when the planets full moon rose. An event that happens only once every 7 years. It was then the Saiyans leader King Vegeta attacked the Tuffels and managed to wipe them all out.
Now armed with their technology the Saiyans are free to roam the universe.
Planet Vegetasi now renamed for its Saiyan conqueror is a large red planet with heavy gravity. About 10 times the gravity of Earth. Unlike Earth however Vegetasi has a Western and Eastern Hemisphere instead of Northern and Southern. The Western Hem is where the majority of the elite and upper class fighters dwell. Living is some of the better territories. The Eastern is where the lower class warriors and ones with weak power levels exist. Looked down upon by their stronger competitors life there is a lot more difficult. And many are forced to make a living off the scraps of the upper class.
A large expanse of open area that is nothing but rocky desert lies a sort of badlands near the equator between the hems. Only a couple patches of shrubbery and a scurrying rock lizard here and there is evidence that this wasteland can actually sustain life. A place where the original Saiyans used to live before taking control of the planet. This is where a few small groups of warriors have chosen to go off on their own and become bandits or mercenaries.
When you reach the Western hem you see the Royal palace standing in the distance at the peak of a jagged cliff over looking a large red body of water. Many of the Tuffel cities lay in ruins from battle or were built over by the Saiyans completely. Near the entrance to the palace stands a fountain with a large burly Saiyan warrior standing with a sword over his head ready for battle. A true symbol of this warrior race.
